AgStar Financial Services Fund for Rural America - Ag Star offers 10 ($1,000) scholarships for students majoring in agriculture, for questions (507) 345-5656.

The Alpha Zeta Foundation - Annually awards a select number of outstanding Alpha Zeta student members scholarships based on scholastic achievement, leadership abilities, character, community service and financial need. 

American Agri-Women - $500 scholarships to farm, ranch and agribusiness women or their daughters. Scholarship funds may be used for accredited courses in agricultural leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine, or other courses directly related to agriculture.

 American Association of Equine Practitioners - $1000 awards investing in the future of the equine veterinary profession.

American Guernsey Association - The National Guernsey Association offers students a variety of different types of scholarship opportunities.  

American Horse Publications Student Award - $1,000 cash and an all expenses paid trip to the AHP annual meeting, is for high school seniors and undergraduate college students pursuing a career in equine publishing. Deadline mid-March.  

American-International Charolais Association - AIJCA Scholarships are awarded to current AIJCA members on the basis of scholastic excellence in high school and/or college, demonstrated AIJCA or associated affiliate leadership, interest in the cattle industry, and youth leadership activities.

American Jersey Cattle Association - The scholarship program of the American Jersey Cattle Association offers approximately $10,000 for post-secondary students, from entering college freshmen through graduate school.

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to children of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for The American Legion. One $2,500 scholarship and one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded in each Division. The applicant must complete fifty (50) hours of community service during his/her high school years to be eligible for one of these scholarships. 

American Quarter Horse Foundation- $8,000 scholarships to AQHYA members who have belonged for three or more years. The recipient will receive $2,000 per year for four years. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.  

American Saddlebred Horse Association Scholarship - ASHA recognizes its members in grade 11 or higher, age 21 and under, on the basis of academic success, financial need, extracurricular activities, including community service, involvement with American Saddlebred horses and personal references. An interview may be included in the selection process, and applicants are asked to write an essay, which includes information about school experiences, special interests, hobbies and ASHA activities.

American Shorthorn Association - Each year AJSA members are eligible to apply for several college scholarships. To get applications, contact Julie Duis at the American Shorthorn Association, 402-393-7200 or 

Aquatrols Student Essay Contest - Essay contest for children of individuals currently employed in a turf or landscape management capacity. Prizes are $2000.00 scholarship for first place and a $1000.00 scholarship for the runner up.  

AQHF Journalism or Communications Scholarship - Must be member of AQHA or AQHYA who is pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, or a related field. Recipient receives $2000 per year for a four-year degree plan. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Archer Daniels Midland FFA Scholarships - ADM and FFA partner to offer scholarships to the next generation of agricultural leaders. Each year ADM awarded scholarships to select high school FFA members and college students living in ADM communities.

CHS Foundation Scholarship Program - The CHS Foundation is committed to investing in the future of rural America, agriculture and cooperative business through education and leadership development.

Cargill Community Scholarship Program - This program awards 350 one-time scholarships of $1,000 to U.S. high-school seniors in Cargill communities planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree in any major at a U.S. college or university; children of Cargill or Cargill joint-venture employees are not eligible for this program.

Certified Angus Beef Scholarship - This scholarship benefits tomorrow's leaders who are involved in their communities and the beef industry. Earn a $2,500 or $1,000 scholarship.

Coca-Cola Scholarship Foundation - The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has awarded nearly $23 million to more than 2,750 deserving Scholars between 1989 and 2003. Each year, the Foundation awards $20,000 to 50 National Scholars and $4,000 to 200 Regional Scholars from across the country.  The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation evaluates applicants on the basis of demonstrated leadership in academics, school, community and civic activities, as well as personal character and the motivation to serve and succeed.

Monsanto Commitment to Youth - Established in 1999 by the Monsanto Company, the Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship has awarded nearly one million dollars to more than 650 students in the United States.

Leo and Sam McDonnell Scholarship Fund - Through R-CALF USA's foundation, United Stockgrowers of America Foundation for Research, Education, and Endowment.  Please contact RCALF for more information about how to get an application and the requirements for the scholarship.

Mercedes-Benz Drive Your Future Scholarship – $2500 renewable ($10,000), must be first generation college student in family.

Mobil Delvac Agricultural Scholarship 

Morris Animal Foundation Scholarships - The program will award stipends of $4,000 to students who wish to participate in clinical or basic veterinary research. Students must be in good academic standing and must be paired with a responsible mentor to be eligible.  Outstanding applicants will be identified by their institution's Veterinary Student Research program director and forwarded to MAF for final selection.  Institutions may submit one application for a companion animal research program and one application for a wildlife/special species research program.  MAF will be able to provide funds to approximately twenty-five veterinary students in 2007.

National Agri-Marketing Association  - As part of the student NAMA program, scholarships are available to qualified students. The scholarships are awarded at the Agri-Marketing Conference & Trade Show each year.

The National Association of Agricultural Educators - Offers two scholarships, ten $1,000 awards for agriculture students in their senior year of high school who have participated in a Florida Citrus fund raiser and do intend to become an agriculture teacher and ten $500 awards for college juniors, seniors, and post baccalaureate students majoring in agricultural education and also intending to become agricultural teachers. 

National Association of Farm Broadcasting  - Agriculture Future of America - AFA community partners provide scholarships, intern opportunities, and leader training as young people graduate from high school and enroll in agriculture-related degree programs.

National Ayrshire Youth Committee - The National Ayrshire Youth Committee offers 1 ($2,500) and 1 ($1,000) for a five-year junior association member planning a career in agriculture. Questions: (614) 335-0020.

National Cattlemen's Foundation  - Sponsored by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange & the National Cattlemen's Foundation. Twenty scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded to outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the beef industry.

National Council of Farmer Cooperatives  - Contact the NCFC about more information about its scholarship opportunities.

National Dairy Promotion and Research Board - The board offers 19 ($1,500) and one ($2,500) scholarships for majors in communications and/or public relations, journalism, marketing, business, economics, nutrition, food science and agricultural education. Questions: (847) 803-200.

National DHIA Scholarship Program - This scholarship program offers student several $500 scholarships. Applicants must have an immediate family member that is on DHIA test or is a DHIA employee. Questions: (614) 890-3630.

National Farmers Organization - The NFO offers student scholarships in varying amounts. Applicants must be high school seniors who are planning to pursue an ag-related degree. For more information email dhamm@nfo.org for an application or call (800) 589-8372.

National Farmers Union Foundation - The NFU offers high school seniors who are members of the Farmers Union.one ($2,000) and 6 ($500) scholarships. Questions: (800) 347-1961

National FFA Organization - Each year the National FFA Organization awards more than $2 million in scholarships to members. There are many types of scholarships to fit the many types of FFA members.  

National Hereford Association - The National Junior Hereford Association awards many scholarships to its members each year.

National High School Rodeo Association scholarships 

National Holstein Women's Scholarship Foundation - The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) Board of Directors offers several scholarships each year to qualified students who are actively pursuing dairy-related fields of research which are of immediate interest to the dairy industry and NMPF member cooperatives. For members of the Junior Holstein Association who have completed one year of college and are pursuing a career in an agricultural field.

National Honor Roll (NHR) - National Honor Roll was developed to give recognition to high school and middle school students who have attained outstanding academic success and to provide customized service as they apply to college. NHR is a sponsor of the FFA Collegiate Scholarship program. In addition, NHR has other scholarship opportunities available to FFA members. Contact: Monica Stumacher, 516-593-0555, ext. 126.

National Junior Hereford Association - The American Hereford Youth Foundation and the American Hereford Women award college scholarships to NJHA members who make outstanding contributions to agriculture and the Hereford industry.

National Junior Angus Association - The scholarship goes to the top applicants, judged in this order of importance: activities and scholastic achievement, communication skills both essay and verbal and reference letters.

National Poultry & Food Distributors Association – Four $1,500 to $2,000 scholarships to students in the fields of poultry science, food science, agricultural economics/marketing, nutrition and all other areas of study related to the poultry industry. 

National Pork Producers Council - Introduced in 1990 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Live Hog Futures, the CME Pork Industry Scholarship Program continues to recognize outstanding youth in the pork community.  Washington, DC internship program for student interested in the US swine market.  Four $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to pursue a career in the pork industry. 

National Wild Turkey Federation Conservation Scholarships - Seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or better, copy of current hunting license required, school activities, community service, leadership, essay and autobiography, 3 letters of recommendation.

North American Limousine Foundation - The National Limousine Association will provide two $500 scholarships each year provided adequate applications are received. Any active member of the North American Limousine Junior Association who intended to enroll or continue this year in a 4-year program is eligible to apply. The applicant's high school transcript must scholastically place him/her in the upper one-third of his/her class.

The RACE for EDUCATION: The Race for Education is a national education scholarship foundation funded by various parties related to or with an interest in the Thoroughbred racing industry. It is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) organization established to improve the quality of life for young people through education, attract younger, better educated individuals to careers in the Thoroughbred industry and help establish the racing industry as a good citizen in the community. The Thoroughbred Scholarship is available to students wishing to pursue a racing-related career, such as veterinary medicine (with an equine emphasis), equine science, racetrack management, or equine business management. The scholarship is open to students from all walks of life, but household income may not exceed $60,000 per year. Seventeen recipients this year are Thoroughbred Scholars.  The Ashado Scholarship, established by Starlight Stables (Jack and Laurie Wolf), PHS Racing LLC (Paul Saylor) and Johns Martin, is available to a female college student studying an equine-related subject.  The National Turf Writers Assocation/Youbet.com Journalism Scholarship provides up to $10,000 per year to a student majoring or minoring in journalism. 

Sallie Mae Foundation - Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund has awarded $7.4 million in scholarships to help over 3,000 students enroll in college.

Select Sires - Each of the 10 Select Sires member cooperatives offers their own.

Joseph Shinoda Memorial Foundation Floriculture Scholarship - Awarded to deserving students preparing for careers in commercial floriculture.
